We hear a lot about graduation rates, test scores and other data points. But what does it all mean to our community? How does Linn-Mar stack up?
Well, data is an important decision-making factor for our school district. Yet, no single assessment tells the full story. So at Linn-Mar we collect information from multiple data sources. It provides us with information about what students know, what they should know and what can be done to meet their academic needs. Our educators can use the analysis and interpretation of the data to make informed decisions that improve our students’ educational performance.
In addition, when our schools work together with our families to support learning, our children tend to succeed both in school and in life. At Linn-Mar, we feel the tremendous support of our families is also reflected in a current snapshot of the following student achievement data points:
5 year cohort graduation rate = 95.52%
ACT composite score= 24.4 (nation= 21.1)
Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Roll School (1 of only 6 in Iowa)
83% of AP testers scored at 3 or above
Iowa Assessments Results 11th grade:
Reading = 93.6% proficient
Math= 95.1% proficient
Science= 94.9% proficient
Well done Linn-Mar!
