Winter Athletics
Tournament Information
Wrestling
The
District wrestling meet will be held on Saturday, February
13, at Cedar Rapids Jefferson beginning at 12:30 p.m. The
State wrestling meet will be held February 17-20 at the
Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The February 17 session
begins at 6:30 p.m.
Bowling
The
Regional bowling tournament will be held on Saturday,
February 20, at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo beginning at
12:00 p.m. The State bowling tournament will be held on
Friday, February 26, in Des Moines.
Girls
Basketball
The Lions
begin regional tournament play on Saturday, February 20.
The girls will play the winner of Dubuque Senior and Dubuque
Hempstead at Linn-Mar High School at 7:00 p.m.. The
Regional final will be on February 23 at Tipton High School
beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Class 4A Girls State Tournament
will be held on March 3, 5 and 6.
Boys
Basketball
The Lions
begin Sub-State play on Friday, February 26. The boys will
play the winner of Cedar Rapids Prairie and Dubuque Senior
at Linn-Mar High School at 7:00 p.m. The Sub-State final
will be held on Tuesday, March 2, at the U.S. Cellular
Center beginning at 8:00 p.m. The Class 4A Boys State
Tournament will be held on March 10, 11 and 12.
*Ticket prices for all tournament meets and games are
established by the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union and
the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
