Assistant Wrestling Coach
I graduated from Coe College in ’06 and am currently in my 10th year in the Linn-Mar District. I spent two years teaching PE/Health at the High School, and another 5 years teaching PE at Echo Hill Elementary. I am currently starting my 2nd year as a Technology Integration Coach.

Karla Koenen (Elementary)
My name is Karla Koenen. I have taught at Linn-Mar for the last 18 years as either a K-6 special education teacher or a 5th grade teacher. I also taught K-6 special education in the Northwood-Kensett Community School District for 3 years prior to moving to Linn-Mar. I am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and I received my Master’s degree from Coe College. My husband is also a Linn-Mar teacher. We have 3 children who attend Linn-Mar schools.
This year I am a Technology Integration Coach at the elementary level. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with so many people across our entire district. It has been exciting to assist many staff members in their quest to effectively integrate technology into their daily lives!
Our TIC team has worked to put together a website of resources for Linn-Mar staff members. Linn-Mar staff need to be signed into their Google accounts in order to access this information. Also, follow us @LionLeaders on Twitter to check out our progress!
Please contact me at any time to let me know how I can be of assistance to you!

Todd Lane (Middle School)
Dana Lampe (High School)
My goal as a Technology Integration Coach is to work collaboratively with staff to increase student engagement through technology and to incorporate expected technology skills into teacher lesson plans. Business and Industry expects our students to have a basic level of knowledge in the uses of technology to demonstrate creative thinking, develop innovative products, to conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, make informed decisions, and apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Technology Integration Coaches support the preparation of students as global citizens for an ever-changing world.
