2017 Homecoming ParadeThe 2018 Linn-Mar Homecoming Celebration is THIS WEEK!

Be sure to join us for these events that are open to the public.

The Homecoming Parade is set for Thursday, September 27th at 5:15 PM

The parade will follow the traditional route: It begins in the high school’s north parking lot, travels north on 10th Street, and

turns west on Barrington Parkway. From there it travels south on 3rd Street before turning east on 29th Avenue and then returns back to the Linn-Mar main campus. Drivers using these streets should be prepared for long waits at intersections during the parade. The parade traditionally runs about 30 minutes.

Following the parade, the Coronation Ceremony for the 2018 Homecoming King and Queen will take place at approximately 6:15 PM at Linn-Mar Stadium. Admission is free.

Students, staff and visitors are reminded to move their cars from the South Parking Lot by 4:00 PM Thursday afternoon.

The South Parking Lot will serve as the staging area for the parade.

Join us for The Powderpuff Game!

Thursday night’s activities will wrap up with the annual Powderpuff game, also at the stadium around 7:00 PM. LMHS girls from the senior class will challenge girls from the junior class on the gridiron for bragging rights.

 

The Homecoming Football Games are Friday, September 28th

Our varsity and sophomore teams take on Iowa City West at Linn-Mar Stadium on September 28th. The sophomore game starts at 5:00 PM. Members of the Homecoming Court and Homecoming King and Queen will be presented prior to the varsity game. The varsity game will begin around 7:30 PM.

We will also be welcoming the Linn-Mar classes of 2003 and 2008.
