Kindergarten Orientation (Round-Up) will be held in February 9th in the Bowman Woods gymnasium. Doors open at 6:00 pm with the parent meeting beginning at 6:30 pm.

To be eligible to enter the kindergarten program in the fall, your child must be five years of age on or before September 15th. This parent meeting is the first process in registering your student(s) for kindergarten. Please call Mrs. Kack (319)-447-3240 to pre-register. This meeting is for parents only! Students will have the opportunity to visit their classroom in August during our Kindergarten Camp.

Be sure to bring any completed paperwork and requested documentation including and copy of your student(s) birth certificate. These items along with other forms you will receive that evening are required to be on file before the school year begins. If you are new to the district, then we also will need a proof of residency document.

The main goal of Kindergarten Orientation is to give you, the parent, a brief overview of the Kindergarten programs, and for you to submit the required paperwork for your student(s). If you cannot attend this meeting please be sure to stop by the Bowman Wood’s office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to enroll your student(s).

Kindergarten Camp & Parent Meeting

A letter will be sent to your home by July stating what session your child has been assigned to. While your child is visiting a kindergarten classroom, we will hold a short parent meeting in the gymnasium. You will also be able to pay the consumable fee, along with depositing money in your child’s or family’s lunch account. You will be sent home with your family folder, which has a lot of important information pertaining to the 2016-17 school year.
