Linn-Mar Prom 2021

PROM is Saturday May 15th, 2021. COVID precautions will be in place. Masks are required!

  • 7:30PM : The Grand March of all students and their dates will begin in the Auditorium. (LIVE STREAM link below)
  • 8:00PM – 11:00PM: Prom
  • 11:30 PM: Post Prom

Prom Tickets: Prom tickets will be on sale in the South Commons from 8:15 AM – 8:55 AM from Tuesday May 11th, through Thursday, May 13th. All fines must be paid, and all-time made up in order to attend prom/purchase tickets. Any student who still owes fines and/or time will not be allowed to purchase tickets until these obligations are taken care of. Advanced PROM ticket prices are $25.00 per person or $50.00 per couple.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of Prom for $30.00 per person and $60.00 per couple.

New – due to COVID: When you purchase your Prom tickets, you will be asked to sign up for a section of the gym and you will receive a wrist band in addition to your Prom ticket. You must have both to enter the dance. The gym will be divided into 6 “dance floors”. You will be asked to stay on your dance floor for the entire evening. When you buy your tickets, be prepared to choose a dance floor: Blue, Light Blue, Agua, White, Gold, Silver. Sign up with your group so you can dance together.

Usually we have seating in the gym with 1/3 of the gym being the dance floor. In order for us to maintain social distance and make prom as safe as possible, we will use the entire gym for dancing and seating will be in the south commons and cafeteria areas.

Students will enter at Door #13 with tickets.-MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ID. You will not be admitted without an ID. You will be sent home, so please don’t forget!!!!

Grand March: Due to COVID, the Grand March will be live streamed on YouTube and we will not sell tickets for attendance in person for this year. Students – for the Grand March – walk out when your name is called, pause under the arch so your parents can see you on the live stream and then exit the stage, down the stairs and out the auditorium via the marked path.

Picture Information: – Read’s will be here to take pictures between 4:00-6:30 and 7- 9:30 pm. Door #13 will open at 4:00. Pictures will be in the HS Lower Commons/Cafeteria area. Doors will close again at 6:30 to ensure that everyone is done with pictures and out of the building by 6:50. Doors will reopen at 7:00. Once doors open at 7:00, you WILL NEED YOUR ID and TICKET/PAY to enter the building. Picture packages range in price from $15 (2 5x7s) – $35 (2 8x10s, 2 5x7s, 24 wallets). There is a $20 (2 5x7s, 8 wallets), $25 (2 5x7s, 16 wallets) and $30 (4 5x7s,16 wallets) package as well, along with package add –ons for extra 8×10’s, 5×7’s and wallets.

Any students bringing a guest that does not attend Linn-Mar, MUST pick up a date request form in the 11/12 Office (also available on Mrs. Crandall’s website, under Prom Information). This must be filled out and returned to the 11/12 office 10 days prior to the dance, which would be Tuesday May 4th! OR, if you have a date that is a sophomore or junior at LM, you must sign the guest up in the 11/12 office by Thursday, May 13th .

No freshmen will be allowed to attend Prom. Any parents wishing to chaperone, who have not yet been asked – please call Sheri Crandall at 892-4868.

By parent request, we will open the gym to parents to view decorations from 4-5 pm on May 15th
