District Student Assistance Programs
Student Assistance Resources
Holiday Assistance:
Counteracting the growing financial need of students and families by providing assistance during the holiday season. Christmas gifts are procured through a variety of adopt-a-family campaigns within the schools, as well as through a partnership with Marion Cares.
Crisis Management:
The Student Assistance Program facilitates crisis plans within the district in the event of a crisis.
Grant Wood Area Education Agency:
Collaboration with Grant Wood AEA staff to provide individual, family, and group counseling regarding family and emotional concerns. Referrals for service may come from any source.
Marion Cares:
A collaborative effort between school districts, businesses, and churches to serve the needs of families and children in Marion and surrounding areas. The primary purpose of Marion Cares is to address family and social needs regarding education, recreation, and moral guidance.
