Dine Out For Our Schools 2019 02

The Linn-Mar School Foundation & the Marion Independent School Foundation are joining forces for a second year of the popular Dine For Our Schools community-wide event. The next Dine Out day is Thursday, September 12th.

The event returns even bigger in 2019 with a record-setting 20 partner locations. In 2018, Dine Out For Our Schools events were a huge success and raised over $10,000 for area classrooms & students. This initiative is a joint effort between the Linn-Mar School Foundation and the Marion Independent School Foundation.  It is designed to support our community restaurants and help local schools at the same time with a fun and easy dining event.  Partner restaurants will be donating 10% or more back to the schools on September 12th which includes dine-in, carry-out and delivery all day at most participating restaurants.

The event features 20 partner restaurants including Bistro 319, Chick-fil-A near Lindale Mall, Country Kitchen Cafe, Culver’s Frozen Custard & Butterburgers Marion location, Dairy Queen Uptown 7th Ave location, Five Guys near Lindale Mall, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Granite City Food & Brewery, Godfather’s Pizza 1st Ave SE, Hy-Vee Hickory House & Chinese Express Marion, Jimmy John’s 7th Ave Marion, Kettel House Bakery & Cafe, La Cantina Marion, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Noodles & Company, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, Ramsey’s Wine Bistro, Scooter’s Coffee, C Avenue & 7th Avenue Marion locations, Zio Johno’s and Zoey’s Pizzeria.

Both the Linn-Mar School Foundation and Marion Independent School Foundation are established 501(c)3 organizations and support a mission to help provide important classroom technology & materials, support for curriculum, enrichment programming and funding for students and programs not able to be supported by regular school budgets.  They raise, steward and distribute private contributions to benefit the K-12 schools in their respective districts.  Linn-Mar and Marion have 15 schools combined and serve over 10,000 students in our community.
