Echo Hill Road/Alburnett Road Construction

The construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Echo Hill and Alburnett Road is underway. Due to the planned construction, there aren’t many summer activities planned at Echo Hill Elementary or Hazel Point Intermediate. 

The city of Marion assures us we will always have access to our schools, but how we get to the buildings will be temporarily changed as the project progresses through several phases.

At the start of summer, all traffic must enter the Alburnett Road/Echo Hill intersection from the north off of Alburnett Road. During this phase of the project, there will be no access to Hazel Point or Echo Hill from the south.

At some point this summer, the work will switch and we will only have access to these two schools from the south from Alburnett Road.

The work is expected to continue through the fall.
