Future Educator Signing Day

A group of Linn-Mar seniors “made it official” by signing their Future Educator Letter of Intent. The event, now in its third year, is coordinated each year by high school and district officials.

Eleven students took part in the Class of 2023 ceremony. The group heard from Linn-Mar teachers and administrators who all share a passion for the profession of educating young people.

Superintendent Shannon Bisgard, Associate Superintendent Nathan Wear, and Phil Miller from the district human resources department spoke about future employment opportunities at Linn Mar. They also discussed educator shortages in critical areas across the country, especially in the areas of special education and world languages.

All the students were presented with certificates that guarantee them a future interview with the district.

We are proud of the many former students who are now members of our team of educational professionals.
