Iowa Dept. of Education Director Visits Linn-Mar

The Iowa Department of Education Director, Ann Lebo, paid a visit to Marion. She toured career and technical education programs available to students in the Linn-Mar and Marion schools.

Director Lebo visited The ROAR Store, Project Lead the Way technology labs, and other areas.

 

 

Then she stopped by the Community Build Home Renovation project. Students from Linn-Mar and Marion are working with MEDCO, the Marion Economic Development Corporation, to rehab an older home near downtown Marion, and make it ready for a new family. The proceeds from the sale of this year’s home will be used to purchase another home for students to renovate in the future.
