Linn-Mar to follow Revised Public Health Quarantine Guidelines

The Linn-Mar Community School District is now following new COVID-19 quarantine guidelines from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH).

Moving forward, the district will follow IDPH guidance stating that close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases will no longer need to quarantine for 14 days if a face covering was consistently and correctly worn by both people during the exposure.

This guidance does not apply to people who are sick or who tested positive for COVID-19.

In the event a positive case is reported in a building, our communications protocol will remain the same. Families of students in close contact with the confirmed case will receive a phone call, to provide recommendations from the health department. Families of all students in the building where the positive case is reported will receive an email from the principal.
