Linn-Mar Honored for Financial Reporting

For the 16th straight year, the Linn-Mar Community School District has earned the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award.

The award represents the district’s financial reporting for the 2019 fiscal year.

In making the announcement, the association said, “Your participation in the program for the past 16 years is a testament to your district’s commitment to transparency and high-quality financial reporting.”

Linn-Mar superintendent Shannon Bisgard proudly acknowledged Chief Financial Officer and Board Treasurer, J.T. Anderson, and the entire business office team who collaborated to maintain this prestigious recognition for the district.

The ASBO Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting is considered the gold standard in Comprehensive Annual Financial Reporting and is viewed by credit-rating agencies as a positive factor in decision making.
