LMHS Orchestra Chosen to Perform at Conference

The Linn-Mar Symphony Orchestra, a 53-member ensemble made up of 10th through 12th grade students, has been selected to perform at the Iowa Association of School Boards’ (IASB) annual conference on Thursday, November 17th in Des Moines. This conference is a gathering of over 1,000 school board members and superintendents from across the state of Iowa.

This will be the second time the Linn-Mar Orchestra program has been selected to perform at this conference. Linn-Mar Middle School’s 7th and 8th-grade orchestra last performed there 20 years ago, in 2002.

The Symphony Orchestra will be performing a preview concert in conjunction with the 5th grade orchestras on Thursday, November 10th at 7:00 PM in the Linn-Mar High School Auditorium. This concert is open to the public and free-will donations will be accepted at the door.
