Name The New Schools!

You’ve seen the designs, now it’s time to Name The New Schools!

Linn-Mar accepted name suggestions for both new intermediate schools (scheduled to open for the 2020-21 school year) through April 15th!

We thank all of the students, parents, staff, and community members who submitted suggestions!

A committee, appointed by the Superintendent, will now consider all submitted names that meet School Board Policy 1005.5 (Revenue Enhancement, Gifts, and Facility Naming Rights) and the parameters below. The committee will consist of parents, district administration, principals, and teachers.

The following parameters had to be met for the name to be considered:

• The submission shall be reflective of the community and Linn-Mar
• The submission shall not be named after a person
• The submission shall not have a direction or be directional
• The submission shall not contain an animal
