New Associate Principal at Hazel Point

Linn-Mar is pleased to announce that Tammi Turner, currently the associate principal at Westfield Elementary, will become the new associate principal at Hazel Point Intermediate. She will replace Sara Hovden who was recently named principal at Novak Elementary.

Hazel Point principal Chad Buchholz shared the news with his staff. “I am excited to welcome Mrs. Turner to the Hazel Point team.  Her experiences in education, both at Linn-Mar and beyond, will be important as we continue to build on the experiences of our students while here at Hazel Point.  Having built connections at Westfield, Tammi will have a jump-start on knowing our students and families, while helping our students build independence during these important early adolescent years of their childhood school experience.” 

Mrs. Turner added, “Although I enjoyed my time at Westfield, I am really looking forward to this new adventure at Hazel Point!”

Pending board approval, Tammi Turner will begin her new role at Hazel Point in August.
