New Look for the Linn-Mar Auditorium

Just in time for this Saturday’s Get in the Spirit, the vocal department’s Holiday Festival and Show Choir reveal, the Linn-Mar auditorium is revealing new stage curtains.

The new rich, red main curtain replaces the familiar muted mauve model that was older than most of the students. It had fallen into disrepair earlier this year. It had graced the auditorium since the facility opened in 1999.

The new stage curtain adds a splash of color to the Linn-Mar Auditorium.

The curtain installation project was led by Linn-Mar alum Shawn Poellet (class of 2010) who is now the Assistant Technical Director at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls.

The project was funded through revenues generated by usage fees charged to outside groups who rent the space for special events.

In addition to the main curtain, the black curtains backstage were also replaced.
