New Volunteer and Community Relations Coordinator

Angela Burke is the new District Volunteer & Community Relations Coordinator at Linn-Mar. She replaces Karla Terry who recently retired after 30 years of service.

ANgela BurkeAngela is no stranger to the volunteer program at Linn-Mar. She previously served as a Building Volunteer Coordinator for both Indian Creek Elementary & Boulder Peak Intermediate Schools. She and her husband, Shawn, have two kids in the district, Jaydon an 8th grader at Excelsior, and Mira a 6th grader at Boulder Peak.

In her work as a volunteer in the district, a few of her favorite volunteer activities were the Encourage a Reader program, playing math games in the classroom & helping in the art room. Angela previously earned a Governor’s Volunteer Award for being active in the Linn-Mar School Community.

Angela has seen the difference that volunteers can make in the district and is excited to continue building upon the work that volunteers are doing in our schools. If you’re interested in making a difference and want to get involved in volunteering, reach out to Angela today to get started!

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.” – Elizabeth Andrew
