LMEA, Gazette, Medco and Marion Chamber Endorse District’s School Bond

The Linn Mar Education Association recommends a “YES” vote on the school district’s bond referendum.

“The bond will provide students with the space and facilities that are essential for learning and growth,” said Erin Watts, president of the Linn-Mar Education Association (LMEA).

The LMEA is the exclusive bargaining representative for education professionals in the Linn-Mar Community School District. The LMEA is affiliated with the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) and the National Education Association (NEA).

The Marion Chamber of Commerce has released the following statement in support of the district’s school bond:

The Marion Chamber Board of Directors takes the position of support for the Linn-Mar Community School District’s bond petition and encourages voters to “Vote Yes” on September 12th.

We believe the plan set forth will create an exceptional environment for students to excel and addresses existing and long-term capacity, safety, security and efficiency issues at all grade levels in the rapidly growing school district.

The Mission of the Marion Chamber is to be a lead advocate for the business community, creating an attractive environment where business will flourish and citizens achieve the highest quality of life. The Linn-Mar school district is addressing growth and needs of the next generation helping give our community a key competitive advantage in attracting business development and new residents.
