Regional Honors in Art and Photography

Our talented visual artists are being recognized by a prestigious group of judges. Congratulations to Eysen Pollard and Lucie Scott for winning awards in the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing competition.

Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing competition is the “longest running most prestigious recognition program for creative teens throughout the country”. Judging begins at the regional level. Three award levels can be achieved; Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention. All regional gold key winners move on to the national competition level.

Eysen Pollard won three regional silver keys in the category of photography for his pieces; “One Brief Moment”, “Strata”, and “The Raven”. Eysen also earned a regional gold key in photography for his piece “Golden Hour” advancing his photograph to the National Scholastic level. Winners at the national level will be announced in June and have their work displayed in New York or Washington, D.C.

Lucie Scott has earned a regional honorable mention for her portfolio consisting of 6 paintings titled “Holding on to Happiness”. Congratulations again to Eysen Pollard and Lucie Scott!
