Celebrating School Bus Safety Week!

This week is National School Bus Safety Week, Oct 18-22 2021 and we want to take the time to salute the men and women who make sure our students are transported safely.

The Linn-Mar Transportation Department consists of approximately 50+ drivers, riders, mechanics, dispatcher who are dedicated to providing an emotionally and physically safe environment for our students.

Proper training and credentials are key to become a Linn-Mar bus driver.  The job requires a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements. A new bus driver goes through 17.5 hours of Department of Education required training which is the School Transportation Operators Program (STOP) training. In addition Linn-Mar requires an additional 32 hours of  training in school bus operations.

Thank you, bus drivers, and the entire Linn-Mar Transportation Department staff  for everything you do to help keep our Linn-Mar Lions safe!
