Little Lions Preschool Registration Information

 

Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year is NOW OPEN! 

Step 1: Will your child be four years of age on or before September 15, 2024? Then fill out the registration link to express your interest in a classroom spot for the 2024-2025 school year. Use THIS REGISTRATION LINK  and follow the registration sign-up process.

Step 2: Linn-Mar will email you during the first full week of March, to confirm enrollment in Little Lions Preschool by using our randomized lottery-based system. Please make sure to check your email and junk folder as you will have 48 hours to reply and accept or decline the offered spot and time.

Step 3: When your child is offered a spot in the program in March, submit the required documents listed below by the designated deadline in order to hold the spot for your child. We encourage you to begin obtaining all of the required registration documents ahead of time as there will be a deadline to turn in these materials if your child is offered a spot. Please do not send these documents in ahead of time. If all documents are not received, your child’s name will go back onto the wait list. This is due to the high demand of the program.

Required Initial Documents for the 2024-2025 School Year- (you will be asked to fill out more documents in our PowerSchool system during the summer months)

• Proof of birthdate (birth certificate, passport, signed immunization record by physician)
• Most recent physical summary from your child’s physician.
• Most recent immunization record from your child’s physician.

Step 4: Linn-Mar will email you to confirm that all documents have been received and then provide communication throughout the summer about the upcoming school year. You will receive an email in July on next steps for registering your child into our PowerSchool system. Until then, there is nothing else you will need to do!

(Enrollment in the Little Lions program will be determined by a lottery-based system. All families have between February 5 and February 29, 2024, to fill out the registration link in order to be entered into the first round of classroom placements.)

 

To submit your registration materials, you can either mail, email or drop them off to Michaela Pirnat at the LRC office. If you choose to email, please attach all required documents in one email in a PDF format.

Preschool Times and Locations

Little Lions Preschool is offered in morning or afternoon sessions at 4 of our 7 elementary buildings. All families are welcome to participate, regardless of their neighborhood school. Locations of our programs are evaluated annually and have the potential to change based on district wide enrollment numbers. During the online registration process, you will be asked to provide your top two preferences. This information helps us determine class placement but is not a guarantee. If locations change after the enrollment process has begun, families will be given an opportunity to update their location and session preferences.

Community Daycare and Preschool Options

Linn-Mar partners with a community based preschool program, who follow the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards: Hand in Hand Preschool at Barrington Parkway and 35th Street in Marion, Iowa.
