Free Meals for All Students Ends with the 2021-22 School Year

The universal free school meal programs that were originally introduced in March 2020 as the pandemic began, are set to expire in June 2022. This means, that the free breakfast and lunch meals that were offered to all students the last two years, will not be extended for the 2022-2023 school year.

We understand this change may cause concern for families. Please consider completing the 2022-2023 Iowa application for free and reduced-price school meals to learn if your student(s) qualify for free or reduced-price meals. The application will be available on the district’s website after July 1st, 2022. Please note, that a new application must be completed every year.

Updated information on meal prices will be available on our website in July 2022. Families can deposit money into their student’s account beginning in August through PowerSchool. https://linnmar.powerschool.com/public

Thank you,
Nutrition Services Department
