Linn-Mar Board Extends Temporary Measures Due to COVID-19

The Linn-Mar Board of Education met for its regularly scheduled meeting, via teleconference, Monday, April 20, 2020.

The board unanimously approved a resolution extending temporary changes in board policy in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The original resolution was set to expire April 30th, matching the governor’s recommendation for closing schools.

In approving the revised resolution, the board agreed to pay hourly staff members, including educational assistants, food services workers, and custodians, during the closure through the end of the school year. Teachers are under contract and will be paid during the shutdown.
