Linn-Mar Seeking Applications for District Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee
Linn-Mar Community School District is forming a District Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee and seeking applications for committee members. If you are interested in joining the committee, please fill out the interest form below by May 21st, 2021. The applications will be reviewed in June 2021 and the individuals selected to join the committee will be notified in July 2021.
The Linn-Mar DEI Committee will consist of Linn-Mar students, parents, community members, and Linn-Mar staff. The purpose of the DEI committee is to provide support, guidance, and information about issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion in our schools and programs to the District Equity Coordinator(s).
DEI Committee Commitment Expectations:
- Two-year commitment
- Monthly meetings (estimated 1 hour/month starting in August 2021)
- This is a “working” committee, there will be additional committee work time expected outside of meetings
- If you are unable to meet these expectations, we ask that you not apply for the DEI committee at this time.
