Safety Team

The Linn-Mar Community School District meets regularly with a crisis planning committee to discuss school safety issues. The committee includes members of the Linn-Mar staff,  Marion Police Department, Marion Fire Department, Linn County Sheriff’s Office, and parents.

Conversations center around crisis planning and emergency management coordination. “Planning allows all agencies to support and communicate with each other regarding student safety.”, said Associate Superintendent Nathan Wear. “We are thankful for strong community partnerships.”

School Resource Officer Tom Daubs is an important part of our team. His outstanding connections with students, staff, and administrators help generate a safe, positive educational environment for everyone.
