- Marble Math – Simple addition problems with cute pirate story problems. Allows a student to use virtual counters (drag and drop marbles) to help the figure out the answers or show their work.
- Connect the Dots – 1-10 – This would be okay for number recognition and sequence of numbers. Because the numbers/dots are rather small, I would suggest this as a whole class activity projected on the screen. Students could still click the mouse or try with a Mimio tablet/pen.

- Counting Fish – Just what it says! Cute graphics, count how many fish are there! They do have a few sharks and octopus come by to “trick” you, though!
- Numerical Order – Simple sequencing activity. Square number tiles need to be dragged into the correct order.
Miscellaneous Games
- Feed Freddy – The default is feeding Freddy numbers, but can be switched to ABCs, colors, shapes, patterns, fractions or counting dots on dice. This is a simple match/recognition activity. Add an accountability piece by having the student say the number aloud as they feed it to Freddy.
- Count Us In – Game 3 – In this game, a picture is shown with a message at the top – Count how many __? (A visual is given, like “picture of a butterfly”) In “easy mode’, the student types in the number, in “hard” mode, they type in both the number and spell it.
- Count Us In – Game 5 – In this game, there is a peacock whose feathers have pictures to be counted. Click and drag the correct feather to its matching number.
- Count Us In – Game 11 – This is a simple counting game. The object is to help a frog jump across a pond by clicking on the lily pads in numeric order. The frog might start on number 8, and the student needs to click on 9 next.
- Count Us In – Game 13 – Great for introducing beginning fractions – halves! There is a beach scene with lots of objects, but only half of it! Click and drag from a sidebar the matching half and put it together.
- What Can You Make? – This website allows students to click and drag shapes around of different sizes and colors, creating a picture. Includes squares, circles, triangles and rectangles, but not ovals or diamonds. Challenge your kids to create an animal, a robot or a house! Kids can describe the shapes they used or count them up at the end!
- Sheppard Software – Early math
