SwimAmerica Swimming Lessons

Linn-Mar School District is a licensed provider of SwimAmerica swimming lessons. SwimAmerica is an international learn to swim program operated by the American Swimming Coaches Association and is run at over 1,000 sites around the world. SwimAmerica Swimming Lessons is the state of the art learn to swim program in the world today.

SwimAmerica Swim Lesson Classes Offered at Linn-Mar

Preschool Lessons

  • Students ages three to five years old
  • Teacher to student ratio is one teacher per two students.
  • Water Adjustment Swim Classes

Beginner Lessons

  • Students ages five to eighteen
  • Teacher to student ratio is on average one teacher per three to four students
  • Entry level swimming lessons
    • Designed for students who are new to lessons and those who are learning to basic swimming skills
    • Students advance from Beginner Lessons to Advanced Lessons once they are able to swim Freestyle with proper technique

Advanced Lessons

  • Students ages five to eighteen
  • Teacher to student ratio is on average one teacher per four to six students
  • Builds on skills learned during the Beginner Lessons program
    • Designed for students who know already know how to swim Freestyle with proper technique
    • Teaches and develops Lifetime and Precompetitive swimming skills
