Be Involved in Our Schools!

Linn-Mar Community School District has a tradition of involving the community in our schools. Community members and families work together to provide support for our students and staff. Volunteers work in our classrooms, school libraries lunchrooms and at special events. Volunteer chaperones are also requested for field trips, club/activity events and high school dances.

Materials Workshops are held monthly in our K-4 schools to prepare learning materials and support our staff. Check your school’s newsletter or event calendar for the dates and times of your K-4 Materials Workshop. Preschoolers are welcome to attend with their parents/guardians to this flexible commitment.

How do I get started?

To become a new approved volunteer at Linn-Mar, please click here to register. The Community Relations Office will then contact you to set up an orientation session.
Once approved, you will be emailed opportunities at the schools of your choice, and you can begin to volunteer.
If you have previously served as a volunteer within the district and would like to renew your status as a Linn-Mar volunteer, please click here.

Please take the time to record your volunteer time here. This helps the district to evaluate volunteer time that is provided within our schools and to recognize volunteers for their efforts!
