Sara Hofer (Indian Creek)

I am so pleased to be joining the Indian Creek family this year in the role of Instructional Strategist. I have been with the Linn-Mar Community School District for eight years serving as a fifth grade teacher at Wilkins Elementary.

I earned my teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999 majoring in Elementary and Middle School Education with minors in English and Language Arts. I completed my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Instructional Technology in 2007 and am continuing my work at UNI for further certification.

My teaching career began as an eighth grade teacher in Omaha, Nebraska. I then returned to my hometown of Dubuque where I continued to teach eighth grade and was the drama director. I got married and came to Cedar Rapids where I taught fifth grade at Nixon Elementary School and moved over to Wilkins Elementary in 2006.

Tiffany Kinzenbaw (Linn Grove)

I am originally from Fairfield, Iowa. In May of 2000, I graduated from UNI and started my teaching career in San Antonio, Texas teaching fourth grade. I came back to Iowa after teaching three years in Texas and started teaching in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I continued teaching fourth grade for five years at Lincoln Elementary. During that time I went back to school to get my masters in elementary education. Nine months after I graduated with my masters, I had fraternal twins on February 23rd, 2007. My daughter’s name is Quinn and my son’s name is Caden. They are in 4th grade this year at FMI Elementary School in the Marion Independent School District. No, they are NOT in the same class. I couldn’t do that to my worst enemy:-)

My husband and I moved from LaPorte City, Iowa to Marion at the end of July in 2008. My husband is a Geospatial Sales representative for Precision Midwest.

This will be my 9th year in the Linn-Mar School District. I spent 14 years in the classroom as a 4th grade teacher, and this will be my 3rd year out of the classroom. I am now an Instructional Coach at Linn Grove Elementary School. I still do what I love, which is teach, but now I get to work directly with teachers and support them in many ways. I continue to enjoy working with the most amazing teachers here at Linn Grove.

Nicole Redington (Oak Ridge)

My name is Nicole Redington and I am one of Linn-Mar’s Instructional Strategists. This is my 14th year as an educator, and I spent the majority of that time at Excelsior Middle School teaching 7th Grade Language Arts. During that time, I was out of the classroom for one year as a Technology Integration Coach, which allowed me to meet many amazing people throughout the Linn-Mar District and gather new ideas to use in my own classroom.

This is an exciting year for Linn-Mar, as it is the first year we have had a teacher leadership program this extensive. It is amazing to be a part of the Professional Learning Communities at the middle school level as well as being able to collaborate with Teacher Leaders from every grade level. There are many talented and dedicated staff members at Oak Ridge and Excelsior who are doing everything they can to unlock the potential of our students, and I look forward to working with and learning from all these talented people this year!
