Excelsior

Excelsior is a middle school, 126,700 square foot building housing approximately 933 students and 107 staff. The building is primarily heated using natural gas boiler systems and cooled using a chiller. School water heating is natural gas. It is part of the main Linn-Mar campus electric system.

Oak Ridge

Oak Ridge Middle School is grades 6-8, 117,812 square foot building housing approximately 709 students and 84 staff. The building is primarily heated and cooled using high efficiency geothermal ground source heat pump systems. School water heating is natural gas.
