The Student Assistance Program is a school-based comprehensive system of prevention, intervention, and counseling services for students in grades K-12+. These supports and services are designed to provide education, prevention, early identification, intervention, referral, and counseling services for students with risk behaviors that interfere with their ability to achieve their fullest potential. The Student Assistance Program encourages student success in the school environment, fosters risk reduction, provides a safe environment and promotes opportunities for knowledge and skill development. Additionally, the Student Assistance Specialists collaborate with families and community resources to reduce barriers for students and families.
