PROM is Saturday May 13th, 2017.
Prom will start at 8:00 PM and end at 11:30 PM on May 13th.
The Grand March of all students and their dates will begin in the Auditorium at 7:30 PM.
Grand March AND Prom tickets will be on sale in the South Commons from 7:35 AM – 8:25 AM from Monday May 8th, through Thursday May 11th.
Prom tickets can be purchased by Seniors ONLY on Monday/Tuesday May 8th/9th. Juniors will be able to buy tickets on Wednesday/Thursday May 10th/11th. Advanced PROM ticket prices are $15.00 per person or $30.00 per couple. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of Prom for $20.00 per person and $35.00 per couple. Due to the limited number of seats in the Auditorium, reserved tickets for seating will be used.
Grand March tickets are $3.00 each. A student MUST purchase tickets for Prom in order to be able to purchase Grand March tickets. Reserved Auditorium Grand March seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, starting with Seniors ONLY on Monday/Tuesday May 8th/9th. Juniors will have the opportunity for any remaining reserved Auditorium Grand March tickets starting on Wednesday May 10th. Any freshman or sophomores attending Prom or any students wishing to view the grand march may purchase tickets on Thursday May 11th. A student does NOT need to buy Prom tickets to get Grand March tickets that they purchase on Thursday.
Each person will not be able to purchase more than 6 Grand March tickets. This is to ensure that all LM junior and senior parents have first opportunity to purchase tickets before freshmen and sophomores attending prom. If you have a conflict, due to AP exams or MOC, you may send a note with another student to purchase tickets in your name. You may purchase extra tickets (more than 6 per person) on Thursday May 11th, if tickets still remain. Grand March tickets are NOT needed to participate in Grand March, they are for those family members/friends who which to WATCH the Grand March.
Students will enter at Door #13 with tickets.-MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ID. You will not be admitted without an ID. You will be sent home, so please don’t forget!!!!
Parents are asked to enter at Door #1 (Auditorium entrance). Doors will not be opened for parents until 7:00 PM. There will be no admittance to the auditorium after the Grand March starts at 7:30 out of respect for the couples being introduced. ALSO – look at your tickets CAREFULLY. Make sure your tickets say GRAND MARCH and are not your child’s prom tickets. Your GM tickets will have a reserved seat number on them and you will need this to know which reserved seat you have. Parents wishing to see the Grand March who do not have tickets will line up along the hallways beginning at 7:00 PM. Students and their dates will proceed past the overflow crowd in the hallways. The Grand March starts promptly at 7:30 PM. Remember – only those with a reserved ticket will be allowed in the Auditorium.
Students – the Grand March is for your parents. This is an elegant and formal event. Please no acting or drama skits under the arch. Walk out when your name is called, pause under the arch so your parents can take your picture and then exit the stage, down the stairs and out the auditorium via the marked path.
Picture Information: – Read’s will be here to take pictures between 4:00-6:30 and 7- 9:30 pm. Door #13 will open at 4:00. Pictures will be in the HS Commons area. Doors will close again at 6:30 to insure that everyone is done with pictures and out of the building by 6:50. Doors will reopen at 7:00. Once doors open at 7:00, you WILL NEED YOUR ID and TICKET/PAY to enter the building. Picture packages range in price from $15 (2 5x7s) – $35 (2 8x10s, 2 5x7s, 24 wallets). There is an $20 (2 5x7s, 8 wallets), $25 (2 5x7s, 16 wallets) and $30 (4 5x7s,16 wallets) package as well, along with package add–ons for extra 8×10’s, 5×7’s and wallets.
Any students bringing a guest that does not attend Linn-Mar, MUST pick up a date request form in the Main office (also available on Mrs. Crandall’s website, under Prom Information).
This must be filled out and returned to the Main office 7 school days prior to the dance, which would be Tuesday May 2nd! OR, if you have a date that is a freshman or sophomore at LM, you must sign the guest up in the Main office by Thursday May 11th.

By parent request, we will open the gym to parents to view decorations from 4-5 pm on May 13th
